Role purpose 

The purpose of the role will be to assist with the practical delivery of countryside and ecology contracting work. During the apprenticeship there will be opportunity to become involved in: 
Countryside infrastructure/access projects; boardwalks, footbridges, pond dipping platforms, paths, agricultural drainage & water supply, river bank stabilisation, fencing. 
Habitat creation and management; small tree felling and scrub management, planting & seeding, pond creation and improvements, control of non-native plant species/herbicide application, hibernacula creation, installation of bird and bat boxes. 
Design and Build; Installation of bespoke landscape installations designed by our in-house team, for example biodiversity and educational projects in visitor centres. 
This role will be ideal for someone looking to start a career in a practical, land-based role such as a reserve warden, countryside ranger or estate worker. Full in-house training will be provided.
